Stolen Sun: Nightmare

Chapter 1 "Nightmare"

You can hear the gust of wind as the figure sat up in his bed. Pale and drenched in sweat like he just got out of a sauna , eyes wider than ever and red lines forming across his sclera. A terrified expression plastered on his face.

It'd been months, years since he had that nightmare. Thought he'd forgot it—or at least tried to— but i guess it still lives in the one spot of his head that he can't get to; no matter how hard he tried that one spot couldn't be forgotten or erased, i guess it's because deep down he didn't really want it to be erased. Even though the scene broke his heart every time he'd remember it, it was still an important memory.

He dragged his arm across his forehead whipping the sweat, stopping halfway so he could feel the scorching heat coming from his forehead. "What time is it?", he asked himself.

"It's 10."

The voice surprised him—almost scared him— ,he wasn't expecting to get an answer, nor did he want one. Since he got one it meant he couldn't go back to sleep and that he had to get to the guild asap."Erza wants to talk to you.", Natsu removed his arm from his forehead and turned towards the voice.

Sitting in the middle of the bed was a small blue cat with eyes bigger than normal and a green bandana tied around his neck. The cat eyed the man ,not knowing the situation and was afraid to ask. Natsu's expression pretty much already said that it's not good ,so the cat stayed quiet and waited for a reply.

"Erza wants to talk to me?" He questioned. "What does she want to tell me?" The cat scratch the side of his head "Hmm, i think it was something about a mission", the cat stood up and jumped off the bed. He walked toward the door but right when he was about to go out he stopped and turn back towards Natsu,"Oh—she asked this about an hour ago",he placed a paw over his mouth. "She's probably furious!"

Natsu blinked twice and watched the cat leave the room. "HAPPY!!!", Natsu quickly jumped off the bed, stumbling on a blanket that fell off the bed and some clothes. He ran out in the living room and followed the cat out the door but as soon as his foot hit the ground outside he remembered something

It's winter and he picked a bad time to sleep in the nude.

"COLD!", he ran back in the house as fast as he went out—slamming the door behind him—."W-Why does it have to be s-so c-c-cold!?"

Natsu quickly ran back into the hallway and into the bathroom where he practically jumped into the shower. Natsu cupped his hands under the head and splashed the warm water on his face to get rid of the sweat but to also try and warm himself up.

"Alright Natsu, stop messing around you gotta hurry and get to the guild before Erza does who knows what to you" He said to himself, and just like that he was awake and motivated. He quickly turned off the shower and stepped out, looking all over the floor for his clothes. Once he found them he slipped on his pants that had a camo print on it, then his red shirt which looked like his vest but it was red and it had sleeves.

Alright all he had to do was put on his sandals, but while he was doing that he noticed a note hanging on the mirror. He got up and snatched the note off the mirror, it said..

Good morning i'm sorry but i'm out on a mission right now
and won't be back until next week, sorry you'll have to make
your own food
-oh and P.s. please clean up while i'm gone.

Natsu sighed and sat the paper on the counter, he wrapped his scarf around his neck and headed out the door.

Natsu slouched as he slowly made his way to the guild, while rubbing his hands together. The winter usually doesn't bother him ,but this year the snow and ice were at it's coldest . How cold? A man who basically is about the same temperature as fire is shivering. To keep himself warm enough, he'd turn up the tempature of his body every time a cold breeze hit, kinda like a thermostat. "Bet the ice princess loves this weather." He mumbled.

"A-Actually even Gr-Gray is talking about how c-c-cold it is!"

Again the voice surprised him, actually scared him this time! Flying in front of Natsu was the cat, Happy, with a big ol scarf and a leather aviators helmet on his head. "Happy!  Why didn't you wake me up sooner!" Happy wiped the fog out of his goggles and placed his paws under his scarf,"Sorry, you looked like you were having a good dream ",Natsu stayed quiet."what was it about?"

Natsu didn't answer nor did he even look at Happy. He stayed like that for awhile and Happy started to worry. "U-Uh Erza! Erza is waiting, i told her it was my fault so she's not mad anymore",he waved his arms around frantically." A-anyways we still need to hurry she's still waiting as is everyone else so lets go and for-

"Happy", the cat stopped ."It was nothing, but i don't want to talk about it." The fire mage smiled his signature grin at his partner. Happy nodded, understanding that it's best to just leave it alone, but the air became cold once again. The cat started shaking, his teeth started chattering and he was making the most funniest expression Natsu has ever seen.

He laughed hysterically at his friends faces and movements."D-D-D-DON'T L-LAUGH!!" Happy wasn't really offended he was just happy to see his best friend laughing, "Here", Happy watched as Natsu spread his arms out towards him."I'll warm you up." Happy didn't waste anytime as he rushed into his best friends arms, snuggling into the warmth. "Ahh~ so warn." The cat purred ,and Natsu wrapped his arms around the cat.

Natsu was still thinking about it but he didn't want his friend to worry about him ,so he pushed the dream aside and focused on getting to the guild before Erza lost it.

Natsu and Happy didn't even go inside yet and they can already hear the shouting and crashing, and so could all the people walking by at the front gates. Happy watched all the people walk by while sticking his touuge out every time one of them said something ,but secretly he wishes he was one of those people so he wouldn't have to deal with 'that beast'. When he said she wasn't mad anymore, he was kinda bending the truth.

"Alright lets hurry up and get inside!" "Wait NATSU!"

Too late Natsu had already kicked open the doors and hurried inside. Poor fool, Happy thought as he watched him get throwned across the guild by his scarf. The guild shook for a second when Natsu hit target and in this case the target was Gray ,actually it wasn't supposed to be but he got in the way so he had to pay the price.

"NATSUUU!!! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!!"

The scarlet haired knight yelled, and i think the world had a mini earthquake from the power in her demanding voice, but Natsu was to busy fighting with Gray to answer. Happy sighed and closed the  guild doors."HAPPY!", He flinched and quickly turned around. Sadly for him he was now face to face with the knight, her dark brown hard eyes staring deep into his,"Why were you guys late!" Happy was afraid to answer for he knew no matter what he said he was still going to be punished, but he had no choice because sooner or later—for Erza ,later is about five seconds(if your lucky)— she was going to get impatient ,and that's never good.

"W-We uhh…we were..umm-ERZA WATCH OUT!!!"

The whole guild went from shouting and yelling to completely dead silence. Not a sound was heard, they all were just looking back and forth between the broken chair and Erza. Erza let go of the totally surprised and terrified cat and slowly turned around, facing the people of the guild.

"…Who.."

They all pointed a finger towards the pink haired man with the gaping jaw."I see..", was all she said before bright glow appeared from her. Natsu quickly snapped back into reality and started sweating nervously."Now Erza , ju-just calm down w-we can talk this ou-"
"NNAAAAAATTTSSSUUUUUUUU!!!
"I'M SORRY!!!"-"Erza!"

The guild all turned toward the oh so familiar and deep voiced man. He was short, about the same height of a child and looked to be around 60 or 70 years of age with that bald spot on the top of his head, but no one really knows if thats the truth. He was dressed in a big white winter coat and black boots that were hidden under his coat.

The old man cleared his throat and scratched his mustache."Erza i'm sorry but i need you ,Natsu ,and the rest of you guys to get to the train station before your train leaves."

"TRAIN!!",shouted Natsu. "Why do we have to take a train!? What are we taking a train for!? Where are we-!?!" Natsu fell to the floor with a thud , gripping the area where she hit him. "If you were here earlier, you would've known!" She looked over to the master and gave a nod before whipping the now unconscious Natsu over her shoulder and calmly walking out the doors with the others following behind.

"..W-What the hell?"

A couple feet ahead lied Gray, he was severely wounded and was receiving treatment from Wendy, Happy and Carla were both down too. Lucy was trying her best to stand her ground but wasn't getting any results. Erza too, she was going all out but the stranger wasn't even breaking a sweat! One of the strongest teams in Fairy Tail is …losing to this stranger and it's only been 30 seconds!

"Erza! Lucy! GET OUT THE WAY!"
They looked over to me and nodded then did as i said. I positioned myself and took in a deep breath until i couldn't take in any more air. "Karyuu no..",an orange magic circle appeared in front of me , and i can feel the blazing flames rumbling in my gut and dancing up to my throat, once it came up i let it out in the enemys direction.

"HOUKOU!!!!"

The fire shot out like a giant flamethrower ,turning everything it hit into ashes, but just as the fire was about to hit the enemy he disappears and in the blink of an eye and appears in front of me again but this time i saw it. When he appeared i saw a hammer come out from underneath his coat jamming me in the stomach but when it hit everything went bright for a second, next thing i knew i'am falling 50 feet down into a giant rock.

Did i just teleport?!...

The pain was unbearable but it wasn't the first time i felt like this. When i hit the ground i could feel the blood dripping down my face and my eye sight was getting blurry. I spit out the blood from out my mouth and went to stand up but was quickly knocked down once again. The man just stood there hovering over me , i can see him smiling under that hood.

He was about to give the final blow when….Natsu?
